ECHOES of MOYUGBÁ is a particular reinterpretation of the NSISTA's music, where 4 worldwide producers _ DJ TUDO, EQUIPO, VINILETTE y DJIIVA _ were guest to investigate in depth of sounds and afro-brazilian beats of the sisters, to find new ways with trancedental amplitude.

Released through the 189MHz platform, ECHOES of MOYUGBÁ invites listeners to get caught up in NSISTA's spell and sense of amazement.

As brazilian immigrants in Barcelona since 2000, NSISTA not only recognize their ethnically mixed background, but explore it thoroughly, delving into the very depths of the myths and sound of Afro-Brazilian culture. From this position, they embark on creating music and live performances that reflect tradition whilst transforming it into something completely new, worldwide, intercultural and environment-friendly, with all the clothes and accessories recycled and hand made by the sisters.

NSISTA is a remarkable musical project from two Brazilian sisters, Marise Cardoso aka djiiva* (dj and producer) and Amarilis Cardoso (singer), based in Barcelona. Their music is original and delightfully fresh, composed from electronic beats mixed with rhythms of afroLatin roots, interesting vocal games and impelling stage performance.

Marise and Amarilis, NSISTA sisters, are both architects and were born in a house full of records – their father is a vinyl collector – and began to experiment with music at a very young age, studying in conservatories, playing in orchestras, singing in choirs or rock bands in Brazil.

Both live and work in Barcelona since the beginning of the millennium, and in 2007 got together to form NSISTA. The positive reception of the Barcelonese scene lead them to present themselves in a acclaimed circuit of Clubs and Cultural Centers in Catalonia, also circling around various festivals and restricted popular stages all over Europe (MED Festival – Algarve/PT, Fete de Iris – Brusselles, Cafe Zapata – Berlin, Le Belleviloise – Paris, Aste Nagusia – San Sebastian plus others).
In Brazil, they finished the year 2009 with a flourish, presenting their act at major cities all over the country including: Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Goiania, among others, always sheltered by the explosive and warm reception of the Brazilian audience, that feels immediately trilled by the unique sound of the sisters.

Two women, voices of different shades, organic beats, live play of digital and analogical percussion, remixes of its influences by brazilian roots, but with the cosmopolitan touch of ones that have traveled the world. A forceful spectacle, with scenic interventions and total integration with the crowd.

Their single CABOCLA, from 2009, with remixes by Dj Click and djiiva* has faced excellent critics and impressive repercussion between many acclaimed European and Brazilian Djs. And teh CABOCLA´s videoclip directed by Ricardo Cançado and Tiago Vianna has been rewarded in the Loop Festival in Barcelona.

NSISTA es el nombre del sorprendente proyecto musical de las hermanas brasileñas afincadas en Barcelona, Marise Cardoso aka djiiva* (dj y productora) y Amarilis Vitale Cardoso (cantante). Su música es deliciosamente fresca y original, compuesta a partir de beats electrónicos mezclados con ritmos de raíz afrolatina, interesantes juegos vocales y una impactante puesta en escena.

Marise y Amarilis, las hermanas NSISTA, son ambas arquitectas y inquietas y han nacido en una casa llena de discos – su padre es coleccionista – y empezaran a experimentar con la música desde muy pequeñas, estudiando en conservatorios, tocando en orquestas, cantando en corales o grupos de rock en Brasil.

En el 2000, Marise llega a Barcelona con la maleta cargada de discos, dando continuidad a su carrera como DJ y conectando inmediatamente con la efervescente escena musical de entonces. En 2004 viene Amarilis y en el invierno de 2007, las hermanas ponen en marcha NSISTA, proyecto de electronica vocal realizado a cuatro manos, cuyo estreno se dio en el Festival FEMELEK 2007.

La positiva acogida de la escena barcelonesa las lleva a presentarse en un circuito de Clubs y Centro Culturales de Catalunya, y en en su carrera circularan por diversos festivales y salas de toda Europa (MED Festival – Algarve/PT, Fete de Iris – Brusselles, Cafe Zapata – Berlin, Le Belleviloise – Paris, Aste Nagusia – San Sebastian entre muchos otros).
En BRASIL, cierran el año de 2009 con llave de oro, presentando-se en diversas ciudades de todo el país – Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Goiania, y otras, cobijadas por la explosiva y calurosa acogida del publico brasileño, que se siente inmediatamente contagiado por la música de las hermanas.

El trabajo de NSISTA es un remix de sus influencias musicales, reverenciando las orígenes brasileñas pero con el toque cosmopolita y universal de quien ha rodado mundo.

El single CABOCLA, del 2009, con remixes de Dj ClicK y djiiva* ha encontrado excelentes criticas y una repercusión impresionante entre los dj´s europeos y brasileños. Y el videoclip de CABOCLA , dirigido por Ricardo Cançado y Tiago Vianna, ha sido premiado en el Festival LOOP de Barcelona.
